Happy New Year, from me to you!

It's been a good year, and this is me saying a Big Thank you, to all who have taken out their time to read this blog, and share my interests and thoughts with me. It is very much appreciated and I want to let ya''ll know that bigger things are in store for us this 2013. It's been a beautiful, beautiful journey! Thanks for coming this far with me, and as we crossover to a better and more prosperous year, we pray that God continues to bless, guide and keep all of us! Were out for better things this year I tell ya, i'm very excited to begin this new year in grand style, and you should be too.

In other news (Channing Tatum sexiest man alive)

So in other news, just yesterday Hollywood actor/hunk and hit movie 'magic mike' star, Channing Tatum, has been declared Sexiest Man Alive; 2012 by people's magazine. Well we can all see from the pictures below why he won this one this year *ahem* tho some critics think otherwise about this decision  in my opinion I think it was well deserved. ;-)

I must also say he a a good sense of style Channing Tatum is one of the up and coming popular movie personalities in Hollywood. This stylish look that he has going on in this pic reminds of a modern day greaser. The skinny tie is cool and the Leather jacket is hot and edgy.

The Price tag dilemma

Okay, let's just say that what inspired this post, is the fact that I was shopping online for a dress for a very special and important day. I found two Amazing dresses, but obviously one has to be more Amazing than the other. Well I was going to get the more Amazing one (well duh obviously) until I saw the price tag :( *sigh* well now i'm sad because i'm in a dilemma because I did not budget for the other dress, my budget is more within the range of the less amazing one. Going for the other would be considered as settling for less, well not necessarily because to some people that other one might be better, but for me the other is.

Anyways enough of me. A lot of people encounter such challenges all day everyday in their lives and are stuck wondering what to do. Well there a few things you could do that may help which include;

• Checking other sites or stores that may have the same item for less
• Waiting to see if the item would go on sale
• Looking for something very similar that has a lower or more affordable price
• Going on a strict budget in order to save up enough money to purchase the item (lol)

Or well, you could just settle for the other one if it is not so bad and dazzle it up! It is said that the rejected stone may one day become the corner stone. hehe

Hope we all had a splendid Christmas celebration! I know the weather this time of the year is always not favorable fashion wise, .... or so we may think. but like i always say, style is a part of us and we have to embrace it. 

I went to see a late night movie on xmas night, and tho the weather was pretty cold, I still managed to mix and match one or two items of clothing that favored me both fashion wise and weather wise. Simple, yet chic, ... 
Below I put on a grey tee underneath an orange crop pullover sweater, match-up neck scarf, with a dark brown leggings and black leather boots.
These are all different colors, but that would not be the first thing someone would notice about the outfit as opposed to if I had worn blue with pink and green? lol well that's cause when you already have on one bright color, you should try to bring in what i'd like to call a "neutralizer" (mentioned this before in my previous post)  into the outfit to tone down the color a bit; that is if you don't want to be all loud (not that there is any thing wrong going all loud). So as usual, I mix and match and eventually come up with something that always works! you just have to invent your own style, that's what we are all about! :-) . Notice I also had on light make-up, yet my face still seems really bright.Well that's the power of a red lipstick. In this case I blended pink with red. The red lipstick is from Revlon's collection.
This outfit could be worn to any casual/semi-casual outing, movies, house party, hangout with friends, coffee date.. you know stuff like that!

Christmas is here again, and we are all privileged to see yet another one. Jesus is the reason for the season, lets all celebrate him and know the purpose of Christmas. You are the star of your own stage, so own it~!!!!!!!!!

Fear! fear is one of the reasons most people hesitate to go all out with their style. Fear to be bold, Fear to take a risk, fear to dare. Fear is bad, bad, bad!!!. It stops you from achieving your dreams, not just in the normal everyday sense, but also in the  fashion world. 

There are a lot of people out there who have great ideas, fantastic, bold and unique ideas, but they are too scared to embrace it. One question many ask is this : can I pull this outfit off? " or 'oh i'm not bold enough, surely I don't have the courage to wear this". All these thoughts are just fear creeping into your body, soul and mind, and the minute you let it get the best part of you,then you are absolutely finished. Self doubt is the beginning of failure! People need to have more confidence in themselves, when thoughts like this come to your head, all you need to do is ask yourself, those people that wore it and pulled it off, do they have two heads? they are human beings like you too, if they can do it, then you too my dear can do it a 100 times better. We need to understand that the world is our center stage because YOU are the star of your own life, so you need to go out there and take the stage, own it~! because you only live once!
There are lot of people who long, who wish and dream to wear a certain look, but they do not have enough confidence in them to do so,If you fancy a daring look, don't let the fear of pulling it off get to you! you can pull it off  and you will pull it off, that I promise. Stop dreaming and do it!
Another thing people fail to forget is that style and confidence come hand in hand. Not only will you wear that daring look, you will also need to wear a whole lot of confidence, without confidence then your look is merely wasted. You need to show people that this is your stage, and you are hear to own it!
I have observed a few people saying that they do not want to overdress or look to dressy or anything of that sort. There is a difference between overdressing and looking good on the daily. Your style has to be part of you. If you only choose specific days to get all in, then you are merely a society fashionista. You need to love style, to embrace it, to make it a part of you. Do not be shy to showcase you r closet every single day on you because those fancy clothes in your closet will not wear itself. If you desire to want to go all out with your style on the daily, then please please please! by all means do not hesitate to do so. Its all about expressing yourself, making a statement and telling a story. do not let fear keep you from telling the story you want to tell, no one else can hold you back except yourself.

Let's look into style for men...

Hey guys! well its been a minute (in other words its been a while) since I have blogged. Well excuse me for that, we've been writing our final exams in school and we just finished a couple days back so I have not had much time to do anything but study. It's all over now, Thank God :)

Any ways back to why we are here, hmm, was kinda doing a general survey of my environment and noticed that the fashion world for women overshadows the fashion world for men. People may say, why should men care about fashion and style? Yes please, men should care about style, its not just because of society or anything, but style comes from within, its something to embrace and become part of. Like Yves saint Laurent once said, fashion fades but style remains. For men who do not know that they can a make huge difference with style, below are a few pictures showing different outstanding styles for men, but then again, you have to know what kind of man you are in order to pick which style best suits you, but i would try my best to define each outfit and what type of men I think it would suite best.
p.s not that I think any man can't wear any of those, I just think every outfit tells a different story for each individual.

          Before I begin I would like to say that there is one man in the  music industry that I think every other guy should look up to in terms of fashion&style and that man is Kanye West. Kanye is one man that knows how to look very stylish, and his combination and choice of clothing hardly fails! he is truly a stylist I admire.

most times, inscription T's do the trick, built guys looking for a subtle way to show of their muscles, this would do you good.

The awesome thing about usher's outfit is that it is a transformable outfit, once that jacket is off, tells a whole new story and could fit an entirely different occasion. And that shawl hanging from his neck, ahh that just adds flavor. Very interesting attire

Why wear the regular, boring old suit and tie to the office when you can look charming and powerful in this?

This can pass for formal, this is elegant and classy, most English lads would fancy this look.
