Statement necklaces

Have you thought of adding a statement necklace to your closet this season? well you better add that to your bucket list and start working on em! there is a reason why it is  called a "statement"necklace. It's mostly because unlike some other random or tiny neck piece, the statement necklace cannot go unnoticed. You have to see it, it makes so much noise literally that you can't help but notice it. I mean its just right there staring at you! 
   I like the trend because its really chic and daring at the same time, and it can definitely boost one's outfit when worn the right way. it's definitely a must have this season for those of you who are still hiding under a rock. lol! Oh and p.s please these statement neck piece or any neck piece at all does not go with any kind of halter attire, ever! please that is a fashion don't and I have seen a couple people do that and I wonder why. Just don't!!!!! if not I would personally have the fashion police hunt you down. hehe.

Fashion Rants!

Hey people,  this side of the world it's a four day weekend! so hope you guys are utilizing it well :)

Anyways, I just thought i'd post a few style tips that I think most of you would relate to. yes, I know you're wondering why I gave this post this title, err well I really could not think of any other thing. tehhee :)

These are useful fashion tips that I feel most people could do with, please share with others, sharing is caring :) (or something like that, I think that's how the saying goes)

Did you know... 

• If you add one dressy piece to every outfit (e.g a statement necklace), you can make a t-shirt look sleek and on point!
• If your looking for slimming colors, try black, navy, charcoal, burgundy, deep green, or purple.
• The higher the heel, the slimmer you'll look, because it elongates your legs and forces you to throw your shoulders back
• loose fitting clothes make you appear larger cos it deprives you of a shape.So don't hide behind miles of fabric.
• New clothes should coordinate with and be mixed and match with what you own
• If you re going to add one color to your wardrobe this season, it should be red
• Leather dresses and skirts are trending right now, and are the perfect clothing to stay warm in.
• Every vintage loving girl should own a mac ruby woo lipstick!
• Cropped boyfriend jeans and ankle boots are hot!
• when in doubt, wear red
• Fragrances tend to evaporate more from dry skin so apply a layer of moisturizer before your scent to keep it on longer.
• the zebra print does not go with the leopard print... ever!
• style is a way to say who you are without speaking
• avoid kitscht combos like green and red unless of course you are going for a holiday party
• before you shop, evaluate your closet, know what you own so you don't buy the same thing again

• Depending on the weather, pair cute dresses with tights, a chic blazer or leather jackets for a warm yet stylish look that is priceless.
• Wear your strapless summer dress over  a fitted black turtle top-- a flawless way to extend your summer wardrobe and stay toasty
• Adding sunglasses to your out fit for a mega glam look!
• starting a collection of arm candies, they can be very fiesty
• Adding bolder patterns to you outfit! It makes all the difference
• bright colorful tights 
• one word: Sequins!
• one word; Nudes!
• pair bright colorful tights with darker solid colors
• to avoid light colors and bold patterns on the bottom as they tend to add pounds
• basics!
• classics, look at past trends for inspiration
• put silver and gold jewelry against your skin.  which one looks better? if its silver, wear cool colors, if its gold wear vibrant colors 
• studs and spikes!..need i say more?

• Whatever you do, do not talk yourself into an outfit that is not flattering to your frame
• need some outfit ideas, browse some of your fav magazines and tear out pages to make a mood board.
• you can quickly loose poise if your not comfy in what your wearing
• animal prints work when used sparingly
• Generally the rule of thumb is that you should be able to put two fingers inside the waistband to have a little wiggle
• Never buy something unless you are in love with it. If you walk away and still think about it, then go back and get it

Oh one more thing!; Golden globes red carpet divas!

As most of us know, the 70th Annual Golden Globes Awards held yesterday night, Sunday 13th Jan, 2013 in Los Angeles, CA. twas indeed a fabulous event, with many of our style divas in the showbiz industry present in their breathe taking and gorg attires. I have below a handful of pictures from the red carpet show.

I think most of them killed it tho.

My fav were, Eva Longoria, Jlo, Salma Hayek, Guiliana Rancic and Emily Blunt. Adele and Swift look good too. Eva's dress is too die for! I love love love it! J'lo's dress is simply electric! She looks like a queen.

Style Guest: Meet Beverly

Hello people. Hope the new year is going well for you guys? Well mine has been filled with school work and stuff like that. We shall survive :) .

  Anyways to the business of the day. It's a new year, which means a chance to start new things and create new ideas yeah? yeah. (i answered myself  i know lol) This year on my blog, I would like to introduce a new feature of what i'd like to call a STYLE GUEST. It is basically on occasional episodes  where I would be introducing people on here to come and share their style, thoughts and inspiration with us. I want us to get to know what other people think, you know, spice things up a little bit ;) and I also think it would be fun. We keep learning everyday don't we? We as individuals gather different idea from different people and make it into our own, that's the cycle of life. In some episodes hopefully, I would also invite fellow style bloggers to come and share with us.
Today I would be introducing a friend of mine, Beverly. She is our style guest on this episode, and she would be sharing her thoughts style and ideas with us. Beverly: You are welcome, and it’s a pleasure to be here.

Sassy princess: So in the pictures above you have on three different outfits, can you please explain what you’re wearing.

Beverly: In the first picture I have on Black Apple Bottoms Leather pants, a peach colored chiffon top made by Love Culture and Black Dollhouse Booties. The Outfit in the second picture is a camo-coloured Hi Low Dress worn with a spiked faded jean Jacket and studded brown boots (which is not visible in the pic, sorry)with a lot of gold spikes and stud accessories with a clutch all by Love Culture. The Third Outfit is a Royal blue Bodycon skirt from Love S and a black over sized top from Derek hearts collection worn with brown very comfortable loafers.
